    Hi.I'v been catching a lot of herring on blyth pier lately (not Shad! !) And was wondering if the boats were experiencing the same thing

        Phil the last week or so on SSP there have been loads of herring being caught. Few of the SAR and Nesa members have been baggin up mate. All taking little sabiki rigs. I wouldn't recommend you parking your kayak off the round end though at this time of year

          They are in across Hartlepool aswell - never seen it like this in my fishing life

                was out on kayak 1st light this morning off shields beach. absolutely millions. boiling on surface had them on every drop some good size ones nearly size of avge mackerel

                    son was out in his boat yesterday, couldn't get through the herring to get to the macky

                      same as today alan. there were literally from surface to bottom. jumping out as far as could see. few nearly landed in kayay was like something ive never seen before. there was cod underneath if could get through them
