;Darrived fri night at the campsite got settled in and met up withwild321 [ian[decided the best chance to get out fishing would be sat morning
launched off the beach in front of the campsite and was soon met by ian paddled out to about fifty foot of water opposite the water out flow from the power station
after about a hour i had a good fish on witch took a couple of dives ,then after getting it nearly up it unhooked it self >
darn these clever fish
all of a sudden i didnt feel well so told ian i was heading in ,haddent paddled ten feet then i was sick :-[ but felt better instantly so decideed to get back to the fishing
then ian had a nice kelpie about 4 pound
sure my ground baiting helped ;D
the wind started to pick up witch made it a bit un comfortable so we decided to head in
got back to the tent to see the wife with a ice pack on her foot
,she said she had fallen down the stairs going to the beach
after convinceing her it wasnt broken had a rest and headed to the social event of the evening THE BINGO ;D
met ian and his wife there ,had a great night and headed back to the tent slowly as the wife was limping pritty good by now
woke up sun morn to see anouther yak in the campsite wookie [simon[ introduced myself and had a bit talk before heading down to SKATERAW for the meet
met a few of the lads off the site
it was a good turn out because the weather was not the best
fished for about a few hours didnt catch though
headed back to pack the tent up as the wife was in quite a lot of pain by now and couldnt do all the work herself ;D
drove back down to see a few of the lads coming back in with some nice fish ,well done because it wasnt the best fishing conditions
well done simon on arranging a great meet will definately be coming to the next one
it was nice meeting you all sorry if i didnt talk to every one i just had to get back home and take the wife to hospital
were they told her she had torn the ligaments in her ankle ???
