Headed out from amble around 10.30, had planned to explore further out but a brisk wind put me off the idea of geting caught out a long way out, so fished the hard ground behind coquet with only a few mackerel for our efforts. then headed up to the rough ground around alnmouth/boulmer, very very quiet with only 2 keepers each (cod), the wind had eased by now so we headed up to a wreck off craster, loads of mackerel and smaller coalies and pollock but zero cod or ling. So overall a pretty poor days fishing but the sun shined all day so can't complain!
On a more 'technical' note - i feel i have fully got to grips with successfully positioning the boat and getting the drift correct each time over wrecks, so thanks to the advice given on here a via a thread i posted a few weeks ago, and thanks to that brilliant article on wrecking by norman.
cheers - dave
