At long last managed to get afloat.

With weather, work and engine trouble keeping me ashore most of the year it was great to finally get an afternoon out and enjoy it, this was only my 2nd trip out of the season and the first although had plenty of 2 to 3lb fish was probably the most uncomfortable session I have ever had.

Left the marina just before lunch to fish the last of the flood and most of ebb depending on fish, decided on very close in at souter, fishing was steady most of the day with a few quiet patches but enough to keep you interested. First fish of the day was the biggest at just shy of 7lb.

Kept half a dozen fish around 4 - 5lb with loads in the 2 to 3lb going back, all on the trusty orange twin tails.

Lovely afternoon out, work and family hols for a couple of weeks now so boat will be tied up for a while again!!
