Got out on last night at about 7pm with tim (torsking500) and steve (SouthBeach) who was already out on the water.
Got to our usual mark and first drop i was into the makerel and then a further 2 quickly followed. Steve and Tim were then quickly into the mackerel and this more or less continued for the next hour or so but also taken small codlings and coalies.
The area was full of small fish at the moment which i could see on the fishfinder but Tim did tempt a keeper out at about 4-5lb, nice fish Tim! ;D
We were all suprised how good size the mackerel were which you should be able to see in the pics below, this provided some great sport on my new 6ft Rovex Kayak rod.
A good night out, with good conditions and banter as usual, shame no better stamp of cod but still plenty of action.
