A late start for a quick evening session tonight with myself, Darren and tilly off the forum(micky) onboard. I was hoping to get a bit further offshore than we did but the wind just didn't give up. The forecast said it would be decaying but it didn't until we were all secured back in the marina.
We tried a few inshore marks and had some sucess to baited daylights, sidewinders and shads. This was the first time I had caught any number of cod on shads and I must say I really enjoyed it, a couple of tentative plucks followed by a huge lunge even from small codling! Great.
We ended off at the mark where we had started and the fish had switched on. Tilly took the honours with the biggest and by far most fish. Me and Darren stuck with the lures and still caught a fair few.
A quick look at the forecast and it's a go on monday for me as I am busy all weekend, if the forecast turns out the way it says it will be we will need 60 litres of petrol!!!!
