    Delayed report here as usual....

Finally got round to joining the boat club at Amble on friday. Launched around 10am, got out from the piers and was met with a fair roll but nothing major, quite breezy but it was coming from the south west so was warm enough.

Had a couple of drifts but only hooked into a couple of small codling. I'm still 'finding my feet' as it were around that neck of the woods and still don't really know where abouts to fish - anyway I decided to head north to the area around marden rocks off alnmouth in search of any rough ground that may hold fish.

By this time the wind was strong and combined with an ebbing tide the drift was extremely fast which didn't make the fishing too easy - anyway we plugged away and were rewarded with some fish, all around the 3-4lb mark.

I was quite pleased as I found quite a few decent looking reefs/features which i plotted and will use next time I'm out. Luckily nobody was ill this time as the last three trips I have had people been bad!

We headed back in around 5pm with about 15 keepers and quite a few returned - all in all an enjoyable day.

All fish taken on sidewinders fished with a 4-6ft flowing trace - these are basically all i use for my boat fishing these days.

    Heres a few pics....
