I have been off on my mate Lance's boat Welsh Buoy a couple of time this season but today is the first one worthy of a catch report. We had a few fish earlier but nothing like today.
We left the marina at a leisurely half nine this morning and first wreck we were into fish on twin tails and lead heads.
This was the case every wreck we visited as once one went quiet a quick move and straight into the action again.
Here's lance with the biggest ling today on a pirk:
We were getting very used to the exceptional fishing and returned a lot of fish this afternoon after we had filled our containers.
All fish today were on lures with shads being the killer this afternoon and gave our arms a break from the pirking! No bait needed at all today.
The filleting took a good while this afternoon.
Here's another photo from another session I sneaked in after work from the shore in Stavanger.
The fishing over there has been super with some massive collies and big pollack!
Trout fishing next as we have got a trip planned to thrunton long crag.
Graham.
