  • PAL II 5th June 2010

Well after the regular watching of the forcast all week it was on and so pleased it was cos I'll be out of action for the next month gettin married next sat!!
Enough about that we launched from Newbiggin about 7.30am and headed to my usual haunt round the back of the beacons bit of a lazy lump on but rather that than a chop crew for today was Myself, Ken(dad) and Mick(casper71).
We started the drifts and I hit a lovely 3lber straight on the nose sure the jigger didn't hit bottom
It was steady away from then on in with Mick doing most of the work which was doing nowt for my competetive edge
Fish were taking both bait and jiggers with daylights above for some strange reason lost a load of gear this week but thats fishing all the fish were a lovely fit stamp from 2.5lb upto 6lb I got a cod of 6lb and Dad took the best ling 6lb Mick took about 12 of the keepers Dad 7 and me 5 loads put back to fight another day.
Countless scotchies about and I picked a lone mac up which went home to mother for tea she loves them just as much as Alan C

At last I finally got round to getting some video of catches!

    Well done mate.
You must be good mates to all fish in the boat like that, I felt like throttling my Dad when I took him out!
I have posted some pic's of my new (to me) boat in the "Identify yourselves" thread, it is still an inflatable but is far to heavy to wheel down the beach like I used to be able to.
    Well done on your day.
