Today I left "Grace" on her mooring and hitched a lift on the "barbara Ann" to the rough ground off Cambois and Newbiggin. It was immediately apparent that the drift was way too slow for ground fishing but we stuck at it and managed to pick up the odd fish on each drift. Just after slack water we hit a purple patch with everyone landing quality fish including a whopping 14lb cod caught by Maryck Iverson (what sort of name's that?). We ended up with approx 50 cod so a decent day was had by all and the "Barbara Ann" now heads the Royal quays big fish leader board.
