Headed out at 7 this morning after entering the hartlepool boat comp.
We stuck to trying a few wrecks today and had a fair few cod and plenty ling up to 6.5 lb for our efforts.
However we did'nt even bother weighing any fish in as there was a some nice fish caught throughout the day on other boats.
First and second place in the comp was won with two ling of around 19-20 lb and third place went to a cod over 15 lb, as far as I could make out.
Managed to raise a few quid for the rnli and had a bit of good craic so still worth entering.

News soon spread of a nice 27 lb cod caugh today aswell but the lad did'nt enter the comp.

Also had a few mackeral here and their throughout the day.

Hi Catchmo, probably a bit late but we were on the wrecks to the north of Hartlepool on Saterday.
Sneeked out for a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon aswell to try some rough ground off crimdon/horden, had a load of little codling up to 3 lb ( codfathersfather did anyway).

            Cheers
            Martin
