There was a bit more lump in the sea today than yesterday, tried a few drifts half a mile out or so, had a few bites and a couple of small coalies, moved out and fished a few hard ground marks around 2 miles off ryhope picked up a couple a codling around 3lb and a bleg.
I lost another cod off around the same size as the one i caught, had a few more bites then headed in.
Listening on the vhf at all the other boats out echoed the same sort of story that fishing was poor and nothing really being caught.
Also heard there was around 10 boats fishing the wreck me and Dean were on the day before with a few ling being caught, but not much else.
Still it was a nice warm day and id rather be out there than stuck in the house.
Forecast looks a bit poor for next week with some wind from the north expected, so i stuck the cover on my boat and ill give it a week or 2 before i venture out again.
