I sold my swiftcat and caught more fish than ever

I sold my swiftcat at the weekend and was out with the new owner yesterday. I'd had a whisper that the fish were North and a ball of fish showed on the sounder which I assumed were mackeral. Wrong. They were cod and pollock chasing baitfish 20-50ft off the bottom. Unbaited shads couldn't go wrong and we had a mad 90 mins at the back of the flood with rods buckled everywhere.

Nothing big with cod up to about 6lb. I would have had a good box full myself, but put em all back apart from two nice cod and an 8lb pollock.

I got more fishing done on this one trip than all the charter trips when the boat was mine
