Now that my landie is sorted, launched "lazy daze" at Cullercoats at high tide and shot off to the wreck east of yellow can. Fishing lug, had eight pouting, all a decent size and all returned alive. Got 3 cod, best about 5.1/2lb, 3lb, 2lb.
On the way back in, gave the engine some welly to see if the problem of limited revs was still present. Pushed throttle lever hard forward, wow, shot up to 5.1/2 thousand revs, but didn't keep it there as it was a bumpy ride as the sea chop was getting up, so hopefully it's sorted.

Couple of pics from today. wish i could get the smiling right on self timer

Hi Paul, yes, I read your report and left a message for you. The problem I had sounds rather similar to yours, engine would start and run fine up to 3-1/2 thousand revs, but drag back if I tried to push it any further. Today it must have cleared itself. Yeh, the fishing was slow today fishing over the top of the tide when it was pretty slack. Arthur

Hi Ivan, have you been out lately, just, when reading Pauls outboard probs, he mentioned that you had posted a similar problem.
