Friday we headed out just after 9 for the day and had plenty of action from the off with 3-4 lb codling on the ground. After a bit of fun with these we headed a bit further out onto the wrecks and found a few better fish up to 8lb, before heading back closer in onto the ground again when the westerly wind stepped up a gear and we headed in about 5.
Had our first few macky of the season aswell.
We managed another trip out this morning for a few hours leaving the piers at 6 and back in for 10:30.
The sea started to whip up a bit when the wind changed and had a bit northerly in it but we still had a canny session on the ground with plenty codling up to 4 1/2 lb and a pollack.
Managed a couple of pics and a short vid this morning.
Good to hear everyone's getting out and amongst the fish, if the wind behaves hopefully we'll all have a good session.
