Well after reading the other reports it looked like we still did ok after our late start. we headed to sea at about 10am and there was already a wind blowing. but there was just a small short chop and with the forecast saying the wind would swing to the SW we decided to stay close. we headed out to a small patch of ground. After a couple of drifts and nothing to show the decision was to to move to some wrecks, whilst staying in shore. what a great decision as we had about 10 drifts and ended up with a nice 12 off cod all around the 4 to 6lb mark. but the weather and wind were not playing ball so we turned and had a slight bumpy ride home.
All in all it was good to get the first one out and see how the boat was playing and all looks good for the coming months, sorry there are no pictures
