    at least you got out for a few hours with a few fish thrown in - did you get them on bait or lures.

      Just frozen mackerel on a two hook flapper rig, tried the pirk and daylights baited but never got anything but a rock

      Once that weather improves its the start of 2-3 trips a week every week.

        we are out at Craster on the 18th May. First trip of the season. I,ll be buying some worm to bait the hockeyes. Last year i pulled a 7lb er up. hope we latch on to some fresh mackeral.

          Yer last year i never got my 1st mackerel till about 2nd week in June but year before it was the 26th of May.

            We did much the same last Tuesday, and after trying a few wrecks ended up finding the fish inshore. The sea is looking calmer tonight and with just a gentle breeze could be worth a look after work tomorrow. Another morning of weather watching.
