Nice day out. Friday 23rd April

Thought i'd have a couple of hours out in Lazy Daze to sea if there's owt there on the small tides.Went straight to an inshore wreck and got 2 codling off and a couple of pouting, but that was it, so shot off to another about 4 miles off, but again just pout. decided to spend the last hour at anchor inside of the yellow can and had a codling on before the boat even spun round on the anchor. Had a daft 20 mins, then at the top of the tide you'd think someone flicked a switch........nothing more. Time to head in, so ran back on the auxilery motor just to be sure everything was working ok. Ended up with 8 to bring home, and 4 sizers put back.

Yes seems afew pan sized fish showing up now so things are looking up....i am out of action this weekend now but to see some good catch reports (and videos Norman) to spur me on

Seems alot of fish commng from anchor rather than drift at the moment with Rag being a top bait..sure crab will have its day soon then the squid and mackerel time.
