Well earlier in the week with the weather looking dodgey for the weekend we deceided on the first early start and a quick morning session. We were out of the piers before six and turned right.......for a change!
The new tank goggles are great for keeping the spray out of your eyes and stopping them streaming with the wind!
The fishing was slow to begin with and it was bloody freezing, at one point I couldn't feel my fingers!
We found the fish in tight pockets again and ragworm to be the best bait on black hokki's. Micky had the best fish at just over four pound.
The fish weren't huge by any standards and we put a lot of them back. I think the final tally was just shy of the thirty mark with the first scotchie of the year for me!
I am off to invest in a good hat as due to the lack of hair on my napper I was frozen this morning! Might get another session in on sunday and a couple in next week before back to work for six weeks next friday! It was a shame to come in but the fishing being that good we ran out of bait and micky had to be at work this afternoon!
Fish for tea! Graham
