  • Sweat dreams are made of these. April 9th

Saw the forcast yesterday for Friday, Mild & light winds. Launched at Cullercoats at 9am, drift fished a wreck about 1-1/2 mls off Whitley, using rag. Got a codling 2-1/2lb followed by a few more on each drift plus a couple of good size pouting. After a while, as the drift was slow, I decided to anchor just uptide of the wreck and continued to catch. 3 times I brought 2 up at a time.
By now I had 15 cod, all between 2-1/2lb and 3-1/2lb, and 2 pouting, so decided to call it a day, back in to Cullercoats for 1 o' clock.
I took some pics so will try to upload them. Arthur.

It should codfather, but she won't go above 3,200rpm at the moment. Seems to be hunting for petol over that, and can't rev it that hard in a tank.

Well done on the catch, just waiting for a nice day when i am off work to get and try me luck, just outta curiosity have you changed the prop on the outboard seems strange why it won't go over the 3200 rpm (by that i mean is the orginal one)

                              codfather:
will you let me know how you get on tomorrow if you manage to get out please, busting to know if hartlepool is doing anything from the boats yet?

                              Cheers
                              Paul
The only thing i catch is rough ground and wrecks, at least the local angling shops like me!!!!:
