  • Missy- Boat casting in the fog

It was a bit hit and miss this morning to head out in the fog or not, but it cleared a little so we gave it a go.
We anchored up along with a couple of other boats (safety in numbers), less than a mile off hartlepool and gave the boat casting a go.

Turned out to be almost a fish a cast (for me anyway lol), but nothing massive.
Ended up landing a load of whiteys, a few codling and a few flatties. Bigest codling just over 4 lb.

Sea state wise there was a bit of a roll on, but not to uncomfortable and only very light winds for a change.

Charged the boat batteries again and gave us a bit of fun to boot.

Well done on getting out this time of year and well done again for getting a few fish too.

    Jim.
Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.

Nice one Martin, good to see you getting out and also to see some fish around. Was at Royal Quays marina today just check and start-up but got to admit it felt like a fishing day, foggy true but not too cold and no wind. Might just start the season off early this year if this continues ...

          cheers mate

          great pics as ever
