  • Lazy Daze emm errr catch report

Launched today into a nice calm sea and headed to the hard ground off Whitley, dropped the anchor, but took a while to swing round in the very little tide pull around top water. Within 5 mins, caught a small codling of 1lb, then within a minute of that, the little tide there was, ceased. Tried drifting, tried here, tried there, but all to no avail. Tried the Mars wreck= 1 decent pouting, but that was "It". Came back to the hard ground but, still no tide. Gave up at 11-45am. an headed in for grandchildren duties.
I can only put the lack of fish down to lack of tide pull, but apart from that, what a cracking morning weather wise, and good to be back out again. Till next time then, bye!

Unlucky Arthur, but at least you got the boat out and give it a run.

On the bright side, you’ve had a successful shake-down trip with Lazy Daze running OK, and good weather for this time of year. One fish breaks the duck without getting your boat dirty too.

The boat and shore fishing has gone very quiet recently and all we’re all filling in time as we wait for the start of the spring run. Keep the reports coming, Arthur, it will pick up soon.
