nice surprise Hartlepool
popped out today after dinner just to give the boat a run,passed North star coming in spoke to Jim who reported only moderate fishing ,few more boats at anchor round headland-lighthouse corner,who said the same,decided to run off a bit and stopped on wreck 3.5 mile off as the water was crystal clear 1st drop produced a cod of 4lb back up the drift another of the same ,then 1 at 5lb.up the drift again as weather was deteriorating up came another cod (7lb.) next run up the drift looking ahead to the North it was black clouds and waves now white tops,cold breeze and the arrival of a big seal I decided this was my last drift which turned out to be a nice meal for the aforementioned a cod about 6 lb. judging by its head(that's the bit I got anyway) it got the rest on the way up that was it headed for home but a nice surprise session (no bait just pink muppets did the bizz,cheers to all George
