Set off from Amble around 11am to be met with a gorgeus flat sea, blue skies and hardly any wind.



Tried all the usual places picking up plenty of tommy codling and the odd decent one but the fishing was very slow. The drift was almost nil and had to scrat around to find the fish.

Struck into a nice pollock towards the end though about 8lb.



An excellent day weatherwise not had a day like it for a while.
