Bert, Kenny & myself out on The Boys this morning, picked the lads up at 4.30am so probably out the piers for about 5.15am and headed straight to the pier end hot spot.
We were in to fish straight away, well Bert was, leaving Kenny and myself wondering who's turn it was for the "Una Paloma Blanca". Luckily it wasn't long before we all had at least one decent fish. We were soon joined by the "Slinky Film Crew" who also quickly dug in to the fish between takes, in fact I think Norman's rod was bouncing with a cod nod in the rod holder during one take. .
Thanks as always for the refreshments lads. .
If I'd know the candid camera was about I'd of worn my best syrup
Anyway, the fishing was so steady we didn't need to move all morning,
most fish going for the fresh crab tipped with squid, a few to shads (great fun) and a couple to lucky eddie on the pirks.
Bert was top man this week with 13 (maybe cramming in his fishing before the honeymoon) and Kenny and myself chipped in with 10 each.
So a fantastic morning, great craic, great weather and great fishing without having to travel more than 3/4 of a mile from the pier.
The majority of the fish were around the 4 to 5lb mark with a few better ones thrown in.
Must start taking some pics!
Cheers!
