Just a quick report from our couple of hours out early sunday morning.
I had to be back in before dinner so we were up at 3.30 and going throught the lock at about 4.45.
The sea was a little choppier than expected at first with the odd white cap but it soon smoothed out nicely.
My dad "codfathersfather" ruled the way and had a few codling upto about 4lb while I blanked, but managed to catch the wreck just about every drift and loose my gear.
We tried a couple of wrecks and had to head back in about 8.30 to make sure we made it in to the marina before the channel dried out.
Canny morning out and it was a shame to come back in.
We heard on the radio while mooring up that a boat had runaground on the way out of the marina and gotten stuck, he asked the marina to send the rescue boat, but had the reply that they had none.
Think he veered out of the channel, not sure what happened after that as we had to go, maybe he just had to wait a canny while till the tide went right out and back in again till he was floated.
