We did'nt think we would get out yesterday as the sea looked a bit lumpy on Saterday afternoon. So I had a look down Horden beach at 6.30 on Sunday morning with the dogs to check the sea state out and it still looked a little lumpy but the forcast was good so we chanced it and headed down to the marina.

Glad we did as it was'nt that bad out there and the swell seemed to drop a little throughout the day. The fog stayed with us tho.

The fishing was a little slow but we managed a few codling and ling up to about 7-8 lb getting one or two from each wreck aswell as macky and whiteys.

I tried a few drifts with a side of mackeral on a flowing trace and struck into a really good fish first drop down with it but lost it off after a few seconds lol. Always next time.

We headed out to a couple of new wrecks aroung the 10-15 mile mark and marked them out onto the plotter to save time next visit.

Its was good to get out again and we had a canny day. As said it was foggy, but we had a couple of miles sight so it was'nt to bad.

Heard someone caught a 17lb ling over the radio.

View from Horden cliff tops early in the morning.
