We left the moorings at 5.45, and started our quest for the cod. Out through the piers in to a calm sea and full of expectations.
Bert tried the inshore marks but we found the fish were not playing, so moved off to some offshore wrecks where the fish obliged with a mix of cod, coalie, whiting, and
mackeral. Keith and Bert both had Ling, but not keepers.
The fish were few and far between today, but we managed a half a dozen each for our efforts.
Thanks Bert and Keith for a grand morning afloat.
Pirks,Shads, and Mackeral done it for us today.

That's not a bad result with the fishing being so slow just now.

    Cheers for the report.

Yeah what we thought looked a promising season is becoming a little more difficult ... I whimped out at the forecast on Friday then committed myself elsewhere (to the Whiskey Glass game over for saturday )
