    sorry its a bit late chaps, we got out for 8am on my first boat trip and i met my first lovely 6ft swell, the first couple of hours was slow only a few coalies pouting and mackeral but once we found the fish there was plenty of codling if you had fresh crab...... not me i had a belter day especially cos i wasn't sick i came home with 4 codling biggest about 3.5lb and a load of mackeral the lad that had fresh crab came back with 24 codling biggest about 6lb he also had a canny ling of about 8lb ish. now i know i have my sea legs ill be going again. thanks to tompa for the rod and keithb for the rod, pirks,weights etc.

    N1 Tony - sounds like you're not prone to mal de mer, next time out you'll not have to give it a thought.

      Lucky man , I would have probably heaved , but it dosn't stop me going out . Does that say something about my mentality? I've got a new boat ordered and can't wait till it comes so I can heave some more.
      Chances are you'll be addicted now and need aversion therapy if you want to go back to dry land fishing....... it's mint ... innit?
