Thought I'd have a try for couple of hours ebb this afternoon and see if there was anything about after the northerly sea the past couple of days. Wanted a few mackerel and the birds were showing close in to Hauxley but when I dropped mackerel flies, nowt! Resorted to plan b, spinning rod and one of Normans leadhead eels. Ended up with 5 macky 2 cod 5 Pollack and numerous coalies. Kept 1 cod 3 Pollack and the macky for bait tomorrow.
Fishing solo so only a couple phone pics. Best fish over 70cm so probs 6 or 7lb I guess. A thumbs up for Norms prototypes.

Nice one col glad they are catching, been using slightly bigger hook (more protrusion) on latest eels, also have gone for separate heads and bodies to prevent the paint/plastic reaction when they've been fitted for a week or so.

      All good progress

      Cheers
