Well, what can i say,
looked out through the pier ends @ 6am and thought oh sh##e,look at the bl##dy conditions, ah well never mind, its low water and things will improve for the rest of the day ( as forecasted )so off to the boat to be greated by 9 willing anglers.
soon under way through the pier ends to be greeted with some decent swells ( not big enough to deter the brave ) but big enough to make drifting the wrecks a bit awkward, so a move to the abundant and prolific grounds was called for.
From the first drop down, the cod / codling started coming, these were regularly interspersed with some nice ling ap to 12lb, and as the tide slowed down, there were fish all over the place.
once again blue storm shads outfished bait by at least 2--1
by the end of the day everyone had a good bag of fillets for the freezer including those who succombed to the dreaded mal de mare early on.
ive stuck a couple of pics on,the cod in the first is a pb from a lad called simon, a regular on sea spray, who in two weeks has broken his ling and cod pb's
All i can say is Roll on the decent weather and flat seas that all you good people down south seem to get ( when's it coming up here )????
cheers krysb
