Fished the last 3 hrs of the flood and the most of the Ebb today all close in between Souter and Whitburn, slow to start with fish appearing regularly but not hectic, most of em going back sub 2lb fish, as tide started to ebb the fishing picked up and the average stamp of fish improved, better fish were showing towards the bottom of the tide, ended up with a full fish box, best 2 were 7lb and 8 lb, caught all the fish on the light rods with just a 3oz leadhead and twin tail, great sport had to use the drogue a few times to keep the drift slow enough to keep using the light gear but it really helped. Considering another little look out tonight.....If I am allowed of course!!

Just call me Popeye Chris..... Don't feel it half as much with the light rod with just 3oz of lead on, no good if your in more than 60 ft of water though!!

The fish were mostly in around 40ft of water, always looking for changes in depth, gullies and rock pinnacles under the surface on the sounder. Then sometimes you are over a flat piece of ground looks like no life there and you find a patch of fish!
