Hard going but hot

We got out of the tyne at about 10.00 (Sunday) and stopped off for some mackerel. After filling a box in about 10 mins we headed for the hard ground around St Marys and Blyth. We picked up the occasional fish put it was hard work all day (just as well the sun was out). The last drop of the day producced the best fish for one of the lads a cod of 8lb 12oz. The 4 of use all had 4 fish each, which were all around 3 to 4 lb and plenty mackerel.

Its nice to get out when the sea's flat for a change and a sunny day aswell.
A few cod each and mackeral to play with, happy days.
