  • catch report Maali

    hi all,
First report from me, after reading many from other members I thought it must be my turn. Out of Hartlepool yesterday 31/05 at 6am with two friends and headed off saltburn area. It took a couple of hours to locate fish and we were quite close in when we did. First one came to my home made shad. But it was slow. I then changed to a set of daylights and they started coming in tick and fast. My two friends put daylights on and we had a daft hour when we filled a box. We picked a few more after that but they were getting hard to find so we called it a day at 3.30pm. A very good day for my first trip in my own boat we had about 60 cod to keep and returned quite a few as well. All about the same size 3- 5lb mark.

Good trip out then, finding fish on what seems to have been a hard day. Great when you hit a purple patch like that. Good first post, hope to see many more from you.
