  • Manic today on Lazy Daze

Looking at the forecast for this afternoon for light winds was the trigger to give my mate Ken a trip out.
The tides are small, so no need for the anchor. headed for the rough ground off Whitley, ken using frozen crab on two hook flappers, and me with a small spinning rod and 12lb line, and a 40grm mackerel lure.
First drop, straight into the waiting gob of a small codling, then another, then another, at the same time, Ken getting them on the bait. Soon we were into a nice stamp of codling between 2-3lb, we could have filled the box in no time, so they all headed back for another day. We must have put 40 fish back, and only kept 10 up to 6lb.
It was now 5 o' clock and tea time so headed in.
Don't know what's happening on photobucket, hovering over IMG, but not copying image, so no photo's for now, but will try again tomorrow.

I haven't seen Ken mentioned in your reports this year, doesn't he like the windy, bumpy days?

Well done on the fishing, 40 fish up to 6lb, what a great day out and inspires me to get out again this weekend.
