First catch report in a while now that the wind has dropped at last
Unusually for us we left the marina for an early start just before 8AM. Just me and Steve today as the little un was busy with his exams coming up soon.
Loaded with freshly dug lug, and some squid and mussel the plan was to head for some rough ground for the day. Heading out the piers near high water though the wrecks were calling so we postponed plan A. First drop on the first wreck brought a little scotchie, which was shortly followed by a 5lb ling that took a squid bait.
Other wrecks produced a few coddling, sometimes none and sometimes two at a time it was that patchy.
Back over the hard ground we passed Slinky Kate on the way home and promising a grubby story. Amongst more than a dozen other boats inshore of the can we spotted Canman, where-else would he be?
Nice one Arthur pity about the car boot sale stopping play.

Joining the flotilla, we dropped the anchor into 40ft of water and were kept busy by a slow but steady stream of fish up to about 3lb before the tide hit low water, the fish vanished and we ran out of bait.
Cheers, Kevin
