  • On-A-Roll Report 19.4.14

Well with two good trips under our belt i was hoping that the northeast winds had not put too much colour in the water to spoil the fishing with lures.

Myself, Chris and Dave set out for a lazy 8.30am start and headed out to the marks we had double headers of codling only a few days previous but before we headed out i had to go up the river a tad and take a pic of that Sub tied up on the marina.

We headed out after that moving from mark to mark, the water was like coffee and the drift rather fast with wind and tide together, alot of boats anchored in the normal spots but we stuck to the drifting. We tried all the same spots as last week and a few wrecks and other areas but all for only 1 or 2 bites between us and no fish.

Got on the radio and spoke to a few other skippers who also blanking or only taken 1 or 2, so goes to show you no two days the same and we headed in early with the boats first ever blank.

Still a nice day out on...

Both the local charters looking dappa ready for the new season, the New JFK below just about ready for action

And the Mistress has had a face lift with new transfers and gear on and is looking eager to go fishing also, she was at sea so no pic of her today.

Anyway until next weekend but if we get more NE winds i may have a weekend off until the wrecks start.

Lucky Dave strikes again On the bright side that is one less blank to endure.

It was still an enjoyable day afloat as always and the new boat is looking in good shape.
    Tight lines

Some you win, some you lose Richy, and they quiet sessions just make the good ones all the better.
The sub was still tied up today, it's smaller than I expected.
