  • Lazy Daze catch report

Launched at 8-30am into a lumpy sea and notice how dirty the water is, so headed to the rough ground near the can off Whitley. There was only a very little flood tide pull but put the anchor out anyway. Bites were slow, but eventually got one which was a coalie about 14ozs. Moved a little distance, and the next bite produced a small codling about 1-1/2lb.

Had a couple more moves, got another codling about 1-1/4lb, so called it a day 11-30am and headed in. Met up with Norman and Tony, Thankyou l. Hope yous did better than me.
Till next time, with a bit more tide. Chow!

Finally launched myself after disaster start, problem with steering so back onto trAiler and 1 & half hours stripping it out rerouting and launched only for garmin gps not turning on!!! Just can't work it out but think it's dodgy unit , came with the rib so don't know it's history . Decided to have run out just to give it a spin and even in sea we had yesterday I got 36knts out of her haha
Gave fishing a miss due to info off other boats and go slow it was, nevermind that's me offshore for month so be May when bck and hope that it's booming by then

Sounds like you had a hair pulling out morning Graham. The sounder might just be corrosion on the plug pins, hope you can get it sorted.
Was watching out for you on Saturday, but fish wise, you didn't miss much.
36mph, that's pretty fast in those conditions.

Think it's the unit it's self mate, looks like it's the on/off function button that also controls 3 stage brightness could be culprit.
Yeah 36kts was great well pleased , took it inshore into white stuff by south beach and surfed on back of waves , also ate fuel tho but think I was getting the speed and newness out my system!
Hopefully see you out at can in months time when I'm back from offshore
