First session of the year , breaking dawn launch with Mark Day recovering from manful and badly needing some fresh air , with a light Southerly aided by a ebbing spring tide we were quickly at our first mark where we dropped anchor in 50ft , with the tide ripping through bites from the off on various baits , small size codlings coming over the gunnel with the odd better codling . Up anchored and moved inshore looking for a better stamp of fish and were not disappointed anchoring in 40ft . Tide eased around 10.30 and fishing slowed so we headed for shore against a freshening Southerly wind . Great to get out again thoroughly enjoyed .
Mark enjoying the fresh air clearing his lungs after a long layoff before he goes back offshore .
Best cod this year lol
Few kept to keep the Wolf from the door , weather watching again not looking too good for a while .
