  • Shady's start to the season

Bert, Keith, and Myself set off from the moorings at 6.45 am in darkness, and headed down river and along the coast to Marsden, where we dropped the hook, and Bert made sure we got a hold.
Nothing much for the first hour and a half, so Keiths hot Bovril and sarnies came into play.
From 8.30 till 10.30 the fish came out to play and were good fun in 42ft of water ( see keiths sounder) .
We finished up with a dozen or so keepers with a couple to 7 1/2 lbs. but all good fish, and the bigger ones had good Roes in them, so was hoping for a piggie.
A great start to the 2014 season. Thanks Bert & Keith.
    sorry no pics.

    Nice one "modest" Jim

Jim was on fire, bagging most of the fish and all of the better ones.

    Well done mate.

Thanks as ever to Bert for giving us a great morning's fishing.

I'll add a couple of Pics later
    Cheers, Keith.

Looks like chucking the gear about did the trick

Well done lads. The pics say it all, well earned, fresh run fish taken in hard, chilly conditions.
