Yes Mick i use both the fast drop and the Norwegian type but actually use the latter more !
The thing i dont like is when people call them rippers ! The name "Rippers" comes from years ago when they literally ripped into the fish with hooks attached at all angles ( also called murderers ) catching the fish in the body tail etc (no references pls)lol
They are lures or attractors that can be worked in different ways with all kinds of actions also the word pirk is also used !
Pirks are what i prefer to call them or Pilks sorry for sounding off
