Bert, Jim & myself had a few hours out this morning before the forecast wind started. Headed out about 6.45am and stayed at the same 3 mile mark till about 11.0am. Nothing great but loads of action with mackerel (bigguns) coleys, whitings and codlings. We kept a dozen codlings, a dozen mackerel and the bigger whitings & coley to feed the pensioners on the quay
    Cheers, Keith.

Aye Jamie, as Bert was saying, the season got off to a slow start i.e. when are the mackerel going to show, when is the sea going to settle down etc. the best we can hope for is a few more weeks of predominant westerlies, before the winter sets in. btw, are your waders still leaking round ya nuts. lol.

Looks spot on. I always put mine in deep oil frier with batter. Seems canny way you cook them.

Only cook smaller (thinner) fillets that way Mick.

Bigger chunks go in the deep fat fryer.
                      Cheers, Keith.
