With the weather as it was today and not being at work what else could I do? Managed to convince the 'boss' that the list of jobs could wait and she might not get another chance this season to help me 'clean the boat' down in the sunshine!! left the piers around high water with not great expectations, wanted to try a few wrecks before the tide picked up, seemed fine to me but after launching off a few bigger than expected swells in an attempt to get fishing it was made quite clear that the 'boss' wanted a change of plan and close in at souter it was!! Very close in to be precise, even the crab pots were further out!! Fishing was steady to say the least, plenty of coalies to be had, picked out 4 keepers all around the 4lb mark with a few smaller tommies thrown in, as the morning went on the swell dropped off to a lovely flat sea by lunch time, not hectic or anything great to report but very enjoyable trip out.
