1st June
Fished wrecks between Sunderland and Horden for 4 hrs between 4 and 11 miles off.
Between 3 anglers ended up with 11 Cod and 6 Ling. Biggest fish was Ling at 12lbs.
2nd June
Fished the same wrecks and ended up with 14 fish between 4 Anglers, 12 ling and two Cod. Biggest fish was Ling of 14lbs. Wreck is now screwed as when we were moving off it a Hartlepool Boat started to net it off…!!!!
3rd June
Fished the ground between Sunderland and Seaham with much better results. Ended up with 32 Codling between 3 Anglers. Biggest fish was 8lbs.
4th June
Fished the same ground as above with even better results. 3 Anglers ended up with 47 Codling and one Wrasse, almost all to flowing traces baited with Sinkermanallan fresh crab. Biggest fish just short of 6lbs.
Still no Mackeral. There were quite a few sprats around 1 mile off Ryhope Dene so they shouldn’t be far behind.Cheers,
Jeff.

Yes you're right about the number of boats Homer........Davey commented it was like Dunkirk, ( I didn't realise he was that old..!!)
It was certainly the most boats I've seen out of Sunderland in many years. Listening on the radio quite a few seemed to be struggling with fish though.......the two of us must have done something right for a change...!!!
Shansue had a 20lb+ Ling from the wrecks 15 mile off but Freddie said fishing was slow.
