Just got in from a cracking 4 hours out of hartlepool. Fished for 2.5 hours on one wreck off the pool. It was action all the way. Four of us fishing bites on every drift on the wreck. Total catch 8 ling to 22lb, 2 pollack to 5.5lb, 2 large rocks, one little rock, lots of mackeral and a few whities. My catch 4 ling to 7lb and a 5.5lb pollack.

    Most Enjoyable.

Looking to get out myself on Saturday. Nice to know there's some fish out there still. Any chance of a pointer to which wreck you were on, Jason (a PM would do)?

Had a fabulous trip out of Weymouth last week, catching black bream to 41/2 pounds. Fishing for bass in the Portland race with a wind against tide was a bit testing though - 3 hands needed, one for rod, one to wind in, one to hang on! Damn near broke a rib being chucked about while sitting in the boat trying to thread on a ragworm. Nice when it stopped though. No luck over the Shambles for turbot/brill. Would recommend boat & skipper "Duchess 2", normally out of West Bay, for visiting anglers, as he regularly make up a crew from individuals or pairs of anglers, just what you want when on holiday.
