    Well a first for me getting my feet off dry land and aboard a boat set off 5pm and fished untill 8. Three aboard 3 codlings to 2-3 pound couple scotch haddocks and a monster . A monster cod will get weighed tomorrow approx 20 pound nearly pulled me in, I could get used to this .Not a bad first trip out ,Im going to bed happy.

    I have been trying for a double for years and you get a double double on the first trip.

    Just spoken to a slightly disappointed Matty, the fish only weighed 15lb. Bloody Hell 15lb cod on your first boat trip and from open ground what a cracker. Ragworm baited daylights.

    Slightly disa-f*****g-pointed.lol.Gotta be the best understatment ever.I've tried for yrs to get a double cod,best of 9lb 14oz.

    Thanks for the comments lads I was over the moon when we pulled the fish up , bit of an unreal moment, flatties just dont take line like that .
    l have spoken to Alan and with his guidance sent him a picture as I am no web wizard it took a bit of working out .
    ps do you not get them like this all the time on the boat lol matty

    when i get pix soretd i will post one, no Matty you dont get fish like this all the time. That is the fish most anglers having been waiting years to catch, of course some anglers just have that little bit extra
