    Well it was about time my luck changed with a couple of 14lb fish from the hard ground. great day out with the lads as alway and we all had fish a bonus for me, but what I enjoyed about the fishing today was using a couple of old alvey boat reels that I have been buying for £12.00 each delivered
    I really love the bullet proof no nonsense build of old reels and the 1 to 1 retrieve makes them a joy to use.

          great stuff what sort of depth were you fishing in for them
          Nothing makes a fish bigger than ALMOST being caught

            Thanks lads. Yes they tow you about a bit especially when you get a few mackerel. Was fishing about 60 to 70 ft today.

                        thanks mate my pal is taking his boat out tomorrow for the first run in about 14mnths so not gonna head out too far. So just around the hard ground fingers crossed ill get one of them did bait or shads do the damage
