Great report Keith, it's nice to know I'm not the only novice out there. I've just about mastered getting on and off the moorings, I found it almost impossible to get it lined up to slot it between the pontoon and my neighbours boat
BTW that was a cracking fish.

Great report and a cracking fish with pics.got to admire you for being truthful about not being to get drift right over a wreck, been trying for a couple of years and just getting the hang of it now.
Keep trying and you will be surprised when you get it right.
Once again Well done
That's a cracking cod Keith! Well done mate, I wouldn't worry about missing the wreck, Micky does it all the time and usually ends up getting the biggest fish off that drift!
Well done mate, Bert makes it look bloody easy (its bloody dam hard). Practise makes perfect as they say. Nice fish for the effort and there's always something to learn on a boat every time I go out. Looking forward in the coming weeks.
We'll see what the weather is like next weekend mate, I'll take the boat to the pier end then you or Jim can take over when there's nowt to aim for .
Graham,
It's wasn't so much missing the wreck but getting somewhere near in the first place, wasn't too bad on first approach but trying to go back round to find it was just impossible. I'm sure Bert will give the crew some lessons though.

Champion Keith!! hopefully Bert will give me you and Uncle Benny our competent sailing crew tickets . As long as we hit the wreck will do me, I remember us out when I hit my two P/B, Bert hit a section of a wreck with tremendous accuracy. He said to me this is just a small section and low and behold what did it yield!!
Nice one Keith on getting out. Were you on the starboard quarter in lucky Edwards place .
Well done on the nice fish, and let's hope for good weather next weekend. Btw we don't want to get too good hitting the target,or we will just be throwing those lovely rippers at
it. Roll on
Superb report Keith, and a great read. Photo's spot-on, and that's a very nice coloured cod. Keep on practicing those navigational skills co's those wrecks do like a game of hide and seek. lol
