  • Phantom 1 June report

    Hi lads,
On Sunday we were on a few wrecks which got us 35 fish the majority was 4 to 7lb with the biggest at 9lb-5oz, all on shads. 24 of the came off the same wreck

    -----------------

Yesterday's forecast was irresistible so I headed out to try the same wrecks.
Lovely flat sea and decent tides. We had no tide at one point for a good hour, just sat on the wreck

Sport was patchy with each wreck throwing a few fish to 6lb, then moving on.

One wreck gave us some better quality, which lasted for an hour, then it went quiet.
Steve had biggest at 12lb-9oz with another at 9lb5oz, with a brace of cod on the 7lb mark,

    I had a ling at 11lb-4oz with cod 6lb-9oz with 2 more on 5lb.

25 fish in total, all on shads of assorted colours.

Great day, lovely weather if only it would stay like that for 2-3month !!!

A few mackerel showed on the shads, but we didn't bother fishing for them.
    Water was crystal

Are you in Hartlepool this year Mark ?

Fishing is still a bit patchy, mackerel are just starting to show, plenty of fish inside on the ground.

Unfortunately not Paul. Lynn fancied a run at the Whitby festival, so 11 days at Cayton Bay and 4 charters booked. She is also wanting to fit another one in as well. Could be a busy few days!!

We may well pop down Hartlepool way between our musical theatre summer schools for a couple of days mind you. Depending how many youngsters we can persuade/con into coming to our schools!

          Watch this space!
