Bert, Jim and myself this morning, the pensioner managed to get a good rest on Friday so we were out the piers for 4.30am.
First inshore wreck produced nothing but we met up with Norman & Tony and received our brekkie - Cheers lads .
Moved to the next wreck and we all bagged a codling on the first drift, but that was it, so after a call from Norm to say they were in to fish up at the can we dashed up there, sure enough as soon as we got there the lads were reeling in fish. We plugged away and managed about a dozen to various methods, mainly shads. As the fish died off we headed back to the first wreck and managed a few more slightly better stamp on the pirks.
We then rounded off a glorious morning afloat with an hour or so anchored up to target plaice and they didn't disappoint, Jim taking the best one:
We headed back in about 11.30am with 20 cod and about a dozen plaice & dabs.
Thanks as ever for a fantastic morning!!
